A Bunch of Stuff is a Happening!

Me and my roomies got a Christmas tree today at the Dollar Tree! It was only $25! wow!! We put up some cute lights and a star that changes colors! yay! While we put the Christmas tree up we at some of my Mommy's Thanksgiving cookies and listened to Dean Martin's Christmas album. It was a good time.

                                                                            *gobble*

BUT earlier today my friends Shayla, Dakotah, Amanda, Ashley and I went to Disney auditions. Only Ashley made it to the final round. She is hopefully going to get a call soon! I really hope that she makes it into the Entertainment department here at Disney! That would be so cool!

Now for a little story:

Hello...my name is Roberto. I am a Florida lizard. I decided one day that it was too cool outside for me so I decided that I should sneak into Vista Way apartment 3502. I heard that my girl-friend Jessica had been over once before so I thought that it would be a good idea. When I got there I chilled near the window of the living room for goodness know how long! The girls were at the apartment all day...none of them noticed that I was there until Karalyn squealed! She caught me on the window sill...how much time went by I am not sure but what I got out of the whole ordeal was that one of the roommates wanted to kill me by throwing some bleach on me! First of all...that would not have worked (not at first) it would have made my scales burn then make me want to run around. Anway...the other three roomies decided that catching me would be the best bet. After getting a box and a bucket and after Gracie put a bag over her hand they made their move...but I was FAST!! I dodged the bucket and the box and jumped from the window sill to the floor but I wasn't fast enough...Gracie pounced on me like a lion catching its prey with her hands, ran out the door and then threw me outside into the bushes. After landing right next to my girl-friend Jessica we huddled together the rest of the night and planned our next invasion of 3502. THE END.

ps: I'm buying this soon: CLICK ME!!

Nice Work, Bone Daddy - My Life in Halloweens

Watching: The Nightmare Before Christmas

Happy Halloween-a-ween!

I have noticed that most of my Halloweens (Halloween being my 2nd favorite holiday) have been different since I went to college:

1.) From high-school up until Freshman year of college I had been trick-or-treating with my sisters, cousins and THEIR friends (because mine in high-school were apparently too cool to get free candy...what what? :P) In those days I was a Bunny (age 3), Dorothy (various years), a Werewolf (age 10), Kagome from Inu-Yasha (age 16), and a random snake monster guy...(age 12) and a Witch (one of those years), Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas...and a bunch of other things that I can't remember :P

2.) Freshman year of college I trick-or-treated as Groucho Marx but it was kind of lame for various reasons...one being that students from the neighboring high-school would play pranks on the college students and vice-versa. That's when I decided that trick-or-treating was done for me.

3.) Sophomore year of college I worked as a Resident Adviser and always worked on Wednesdays. Well, Halloween was on a Wednesday that night...I will never forget. That was the first time in my whole life that I was not able to celebrate Halloween ON Halloween night. Still, I dressed up as the Bride of Frankenstein, and I handed out candy at my desk and I dealt with puking freshmen. That night I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Creature from the Black Lagoon with my then boy-friend who came to visit me that night.

4.) Junior year of college I was studying in England for a few months and we celebrated Halloween in good 'ol Canterbury, England. My costume was last minute but clever...I was a Zombie British school-girl. We pre-gamed at our apartments then we walked to the Jolly Sailor pub and drank snake bites, ate candy and danced on tables. That was a great Halloween fo sho ;)

5.) Senior year of college was AMAZING. My good friend, Kate, came to visit for a whole week and we watched scary movies to the point of a snuggle fest every night for fear of being stabbed to death by psycho, goblin Asians with needles... O_o and other scary things... Did I mention that we slept with my Halloween lights on all night too? We also performed The Rocky Horror Show at my college (I played Janet Weiss) and on Halloween night we went to Albert's to sing and dance karaoke. I was dressed as Stephen King's Carrie.

6.) My sister India and I were able to dress up and go to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom and trick-or-treat, eat junk food, scare small children and watch the fireworks, parade and skanky Villians Show. That was an amazing bonding moment for me and my sister that we both will never forget. Now this year for Halloween I will be working again but at least I will be at the Magic Kingdom working the Halloween parades. It will be interesting because I will be seeing all kinds of amazing costumes! yay! and who knows what could happen the whole night...having a different Halloween every year is important I think...if you keep it the same then you'll get bored with it. So, I am glad mine have been different these past few years. Oh yes...and I was a werewolf ;)

HAPPY ALL HALLOW'S EVE!!

Captain EO (featuring George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola and...Mikey Jackson)

So I had a pretty wild day yesterday! I went to Epcot in Disney and celebrated the 15th Food & Wine Festival. It was nice to smell all of the food and see all of the different kinds of drinks that they had. I didn't drink because, well, I simply didn't feel like it plus it was far too expensive. BUT I did have lunch! I went to the Greece booth and got Spanakopita and I went to the Charcuterie & Cheese cart to get some cheese fondue with croutons and roasted peppers. I then proceeded to the Ireland booth to top it off with warm chocolate lava cake with Baily's Irish cream ganache. MMMMMM so good! Afterwords I went to England and sat in the Rose Garden and studied for the GRE as I drank Twinning's Iced Tea and listened to "Hey Jude" play in the background by a live band. I then stopped by France but couldn't stay for very long because I became too nostalgic :( so I moved to Japan where I bought a Little Red Riding Hood stationary set as well as witnessed a wedding proposal at the Japanese Pearl Counter! So kawaii!!
I also decided that I would go on a couple of rides that I hadn't been on in a awhile: Honey, I Shrunk the Audience and Imagination with Figment (which had been changed...for the better, I might add!). When I made my way over there I realized that Honey was gone! It had been replaced by a 1986 experiment created by George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola. A 3D science fiction musical starring Michael Jackson - It was called Captain EO.

Wild, right? That's what I thought too! So, I thought, I gotta give this a try! I got in the theater and put on my 3D glasses and noticed that I was surrounded by families with very small kids AND 30-something year old cult followers of this "Captain EO". Ladies and Gentlemen...what you are about to witness is the 3D cult classic that I watched only a few hours ago in Walt Disney's Epcot Center (without the 3D of course). There is no describing this 20 minute film...you just have to watch it yourself:

Part 1

Part 2

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! I couldn't believe what was happening in front of me! It was The Dark Crystal  meets The Wiz or whatever. I loved it! The next paycheck I get I'm spending my hard earned monies on Captain EO merch.

Love & Peace!
