just a little update...I hate mondays (but love you!).

Listening to: Yoko Kanno - Cyberbird

Today was a pleasent first day back from Tofurkey break. The cafe food wasn't totally horrible, I randomly got paid $20, I talked a lot in class and I found out that writing my 15 page paper beofre next Tuesday may not be as hard as it sounds. Michael came in my room and made me hot cocoa and I treated myself to some lovely nail polish that was on sale. So far, so good.

Just thought I would start something new...I thought that maybe, to keep up with my blog, things that I find lovely. I know a lot of other bloggers do this and that it's nothing original, but it will be a good way for me to not leave my blog behind months at a time :P so, I will begin my new posts entitled: I Hate Mondays (but I Love You!).

1. Raf TMNT beanie! sold at Hott Topic. I haven't shopped here in, like, 2 years. Hott Topic is finally coming out with cool stuff again!

2. "Look if you didnt have that guy you'd be fucking done allright?"

3. My new favorite holiday tea!

4. Tim Burton's art at MoMA <3
/>

5. A most lovely graphic novel!

BONUS # 6:

from my lovely friend, Shanna:

That's all I have for now! Love and Peace!

In The Company of Wolves (& other updates)

So, the other night before Thanksgiving break started, somehow the subject of werewolves came up between me, Blake, Laura, Sarah and George. We just happened to be talking in Laura's room and then Twilight's sequal, New Moon, came up - then we discussed how the werewolves in New Moon weren't really werewolves...except they kind of were because that's how the first werewolves started in the original lore and the whole "bitten by a werewolf" thing came later and...well...it got complicated but fun to talk about. So, because of this discussion it got us all in the mood to watch what we thought were the BEST werewolf transformations. Here are the videos that we watched:

Neat yes? In other news...I have put links on my favorite movie/book/song of the month. So, if you are interested in learning more about what I think is cool this month you can check it out! yay! Sorry I haven't updated in awhile *BOOOOO* but I have been busy with school work :P

Happy Tofurkey Day!

Denny's Trip and the rest of my day

Today started out pretty early. I had to get up around 7:00am and meet with a Professor at 8:30am just before my first class of the day at 9:30. The meeting went very well...I handed her my paper that compared and contrasted Rosemary's Baby the book and the movie of the same title. Anywho, after that was an every-so boring class called Methods of Inquiry which is taught by a very lovely Polish woman who looks an awful lot like Meryl Streep. After that was my Literature and Culture class in which the discussion of Columbus dies rather quickly and Robinson Curusoe had taken over the syllibus. Then I went to my room for a few hours, watched Scream 2 and read more of my book: More Than Human. Than I meet with a mentee for a one-on-one and gossiped about the school.

I then went to an awesome old-friend's room to watch Kiki's Delivery Service and then went to a rather lovely new-friend's room to watch homemade ghost videos that scared the shite out of me!! >.< After that (and afraid of what was lurking behind every corner) 5 other (different) friends of mine and myself went out for a late night trip to Denny's. When we returned from said Denney's (and escaped the old, creepy guy behind us who was talking about James Bond and "dirty Bitches"...) we all realized that it was really, really raining out and we had to walk all of the way from the parking lot to our dorms (and that's far in the rain :P). So, because I thought today was such a lovely day I figured I'd not change out of my soaked clothes and I'd share it with you all through my blog. So there. <3

Okay...I know it's pathetic...but....

Listening to: Kate Nash - Merry Happy

Ohai!

Okay, so lately, as you might imagine, I have been feeling down-in-the-dumps, so everytime I look in my mailbox and I see nothing there I am more disapointed than usual (an invite to the leadership dinner a random crap letter from a club that I don't want to join...something!). Soooo I went on to half.com and decided to semi-splurge! This is what I bought:

Scream 2 on DVD as well as Scream 3 (just in time for Halloween!)

Paprika on DVD (cute, trippy anime to help me get through school)

Well, since I am on a library computer I cannot show pictures BOOOO oh well. I figured I'd just put up a random post :) Love & peace.

Things Fall Apart

Listening to: Lou Reed - Street Hassle

I am so lost. That's why I had to do it. I am so confused with myself and what I want. It's only been three days since I broke up with Will yet it feels like forever. I have been having a hard time figuring myself out and I figured that the only way I could do it was to be single again. Right now, I just need my space and I just need some time. I am so lucky to have the family that I was blessed with and I am so lucky to have all of these lovely friends around me at school. I don't know what I would do without them. I am also blessed to have met someone like Will. He is still my best-friend but I cannot commit to him the way he wants to commit to me right now. I know how he feels about me, but I don't know how I feel abou him yet. I don't want to say empty "I love yous" I want to mean it...Will deserves a girl that means it when she says it. Right now, I'm not that girl :(

My new celeb obsession

Watching : The Ballad of Jack & Rose

...and no, it's not a sequal to Titanic :P

Anyway...my 2nd day of classes was today and I'm seriously already stressed out! My job doesn't help...that's for sure. I am a peer mentor and asked to watch over 6 freshers for 3 months and make sure their transition to college is running smoothly. They really are the best kids and I couldn't be more happy to be their mentor! I just hope I do a good job! I want them to like me and have a good time this year. I also want to make sure I pay attention to their needs as well as handle my own. But like I said, I couldn't ask for better kids. My classes aren't too bad. I really like them a lot. I am also excited for the Rocky Horror Picture show! The first practice is this Saturday! Oh and one more thing before I continue with the actually topic...I am singing the national anthem this Friday at my college *eeek!!*

So I am kinda obsessed with Helena Bonham Carter at the moment. I love looking at photos of her! The structure of her facial features is so interesting and her style is frumpy and awesome! I would never wear that kind of clothing but she seems to pull it off rather nicely:

I love the ones where she is pregnant! XD she seems so...unwilling yet proud...maybe she's proud that she's unwilling? I dunno. She's the best no matter what. :) Peace!

Listening to: Tegan and Sara - You Wouldn't Like Me

So I was MIA again...I was so busy with orientation and catching up with friends and spending time with the boy <3 that I didn't have time to blog (sucessfully). I have been doing a lot stuff for my peer mentoring job (like meeting the kids 3 days ahead of time) and stressing over the fact that I am a senior *yikes!*.

A couple of cool things that made me happy these past three days:

1. Move in day: Blake Edwards speaking like a Irish-man to all of the unsuspecting freshmen and their parents. I'm sure they will see him later speaking in an American accent and wonder, "What?" That's Blake for you.

2. Blake talking in an Irish accent with a hint of gayness (sugested by Christina XD).

3. Reading Stephen King's Carrie in the new lounge area at school and being interupted about 5 or 6 times in 2 hours by faculty asking me if I liked it or not and that I was one of the first students to use it >_<

4. Jillian's reaction to Shanna giving her a lap dance! Shanna turned to me and said, "Wanna see how you can make Jillian blush?"

5. Mandi, Caroline, and Christina as suitemates...their relationship is the funniest to observe.

6. Shanna and her suitemates suite in general...it's so big!!

7. Meeting my peer mentees! Some of them were kinda shy but the others seemed like they would love to get involved in some of activities that I plan on doing with them.

8. My view from my window! I see the roof top to the coffee house and it's three chimneys *geeks out*

9. Watching TrueBlood with my lovely Smidge. It made me appreciate vampire love stories again (besides my ever so favorite Japanese magna Vampire Knight).

10. Meeting all of the great new (and old) peeps on my floor in VC!

Online Shopping

Listening to: PBS News

I've just been really lazy around the house and taking advantage of the internet actually working on a daily bases. I have bought only a third of my school books because 3 of my classes don't have them posted yet. So, I decided to look around Half.com and see what I could get for cheap...I ended up finding a lot!

This has got to be one of my favorite TV series: Wonderfalls

*sigh* Perfect Blue...How could an anime movie be so scary yet so...lovely?

Tokyo Godfathers is the most kawaii rated R movie ever :P

and of course...the Paprika soundtrack
