.:Adam LOVES Gaga:.

Watching: The Night Listener

So my friend Mike and I decided to do Battle of the Airbands at our college this year. He had done it three times before and I had never done it (and I had only seen it once freshman year). I actually was not going to do it but the woman (Theresa) who was putting it together convinced me otherwise. "I don't think I'm going to do it," I said. "Well," she said. "If you were going to perform what would you do?" I thought for a moment, got really excited and then said, "Adam Lambert." Theresa looked at me for a second and then said, "Okay, I'll put you down for Adam Lambert." So that was it! Mike and a mutal friend of ours had already signed up and wanted to do Beyonce and Lady G for "Telephone." When they heard I was doing it they were happy! But then we found out that our friend couldn't do it because she was in our college's musical (this was 4 days before the show). Mike came to me and said that he didn't want to perform alone and asked if I did it with him. I said that was fine as long as I was still Adam Lambert. He was cool, as long as he was still Lady Gaga. Desperately, Mike and I searched the interwebs for a Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert re-mix. Apparently, people don't realize that Lady G and Adam are BFFs and that their music could easily mix. So, Mike attempted to make one himself. He remixed "Fever" and Bad Romance" ("Fever" was written by Lady Gaga) and it wasn't the greatest but it was way better than nothing. Sadly, the next day when I went to make a CD of the song - I realized that Mike hadn't saved it. So we were left with the original songs on one track. I burned the songs as one and just went on from there. Mike and I didn't really know what to do. All we knew was that my song was first. I told him that I didn't mind performing my song alone so when his song started, he could join me on stage. Outfits? Mike's closet (I love having a gay boyfriend! ^o^). Make-up? Kinney Drugs. Wigs? My little sisters. Choreography? None. We literally had NOTHING. Both of us are busy busy seniors and did not have time to come up with cool dance moves in 3 days. "We'll be fine," Mike said. "We'll just wing it!" Uggggg!!!

Then came the night of the show. I couldn't believe it. All of the practicing that we did was lame. I wasn't feeling Lambert and Mike wasn't really feeling Gaga. We needed something to save us, but what? "Let's throw candy into the audience! That's a nice crowd pleaser!"...Yup, this was going to be interesting.

Then, our song started...the intense begining of "Fever" echoed through the gym. I was so nervous and Mike was too. Then, I walked through the curtains, onto the stage, and then...this:

WTF??? Where did those fan girls come from (I asked friends to come to the stage and they actually did! *happy tears* I love them all!!!)? Where did those DANCE MOVES come from? Crowd cheering? Happy judges? Crawling on the floor? JUMPING OFF THE STAGE? I was literally a different person (I was Adam!). And Mike...oh that man was born in heels and a tutu. I adore him so. He was Gaga and he was great!!!!!! At the end of the show all of the contestants went on the stage and the host listed the people that placed. And who do you think got first?? OMG we literally pulled that performance out of our asses. It was amazing, hott and so much fun. LOVE & PEACE.

no one can stare at the wall as good as you my baby doll

Listening to: Amanda Palmer - The Point of It All

Today was barefoot day! Well, that's not what it was really called (it's actually One Day Without Shoes) but today a couple of kids on campus, including myself, didn't wear shoes all day to create awareness for children & adults who cannot afford shoes. We all got crazy stares and some people yelled at us for being "gross" and wondered "what happens if you step on glass?" Tianna had a pretty great come-back: "What about all of the children in the world who cannot afford shoes and step on glass, get infections and have their legs amputated?" Hahaha, she held it in though. My Mom was one of the people who told me to be careful of germs and foot warts (yikes!) but then you have to think, these kids and adults who don't have shoes have a 99.9% more chance of getting foot diseases and warts than I do for just having one day without shoes. It's so sad :( At any rate..I plan on SCRUBING my feet vigorously tonight when I shower.

PS: My favorite movie, book and song have been updated for the month of April <3
